FOUNDER
Unlocked Cricket Coaching was founded by Matt Fitzgerald, a current Sutherland District Cricket Club player who came up through the SSJCA junior pathway.
Matt played close to ten years of junior cricket with Como Jannali Cricket Club before representing the SSJCA, including captaining the 2023 U17 Watson Shield premiership side to victory.
Over the past four years he's progressed through the grade system at Sutherland, finishing the 2024/25 season among the top five run-scorers in fourth grade with an average of over 50, and backing it up in 2025/26, with another top-five finish, averaging over 35.
He has also represented NSWCCC and the AW Green Shield, and his accolades include SSJCA Player of the Year and the Phil Jaques Award at SDCC.
Matt founded Unlocked Cricket Coaching to mentor developing players, helping them build the skills, confidence, and lasting enjoyment that took him through the pathway himself.
Unlocked Cricket Coaching is based in Southern Sydney and works with players of all ages and skill levels. We offer personalised one-on-one, group, and team sessions built around each player's goals, with a focus on skill development and long-term progress.
Cricket is at the heart of everything we do, and our mission is simple: help players enjoy the game while reaching their full potential. Whether you're just starting out or chasing higher honours, Unlocked Cricket Coaching is here to help you unlock your game.
